La Estacion has a wide array of traditional Mexican dishes, the common Tex-Mex fare and combo platters that you'd expect. My lovely lady can't get enough of their chicken fajitas, while I tend to switch around between burritos, chimichangas, and other entrees. They don't skimp on the food, that's for sure - I always get a couple of lunches out of our leftovers. How's the food quality? Well, it has always been good, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it spectacular. Of course, that could have something to do with the safe choices I make when I dine there. I'm sure there are dishes that would fit the needs of those who prefer something a bit more spicy or exotic. I just haven't tried them.
We have toured many of the Mexican restaurants that Waukesha has to offer, and La Estacion is still our favorite. Is it La Fuente or La Perla? No, not quite, but if you're out in the western suburbs and need a helluva margarita, I'd certainly recommend this place. Find out a little more (not much; the content is a little light here) on their web site: http://www.laestacionrestaurant.com. All things considered, I gotta give La Estacion three martinis (out of a possible five).
